Plasmon-assisted MXene grafting: tuning of surface termination and stability enhancement

چکیده

The properties of MXenes, new generation 2D materials, are determined by the surface terminations, which depends on flake preparation method. Changing termination chemical groups can significantly modify MXene and functionality. However, common methods chemistry tuning require high-energy treatments often lead to damage. In this work, we propose a plasmon-assisted transformation for flakes. plasmon resonance was directly excited flakes induced highly reactive radicals from electrostatically absorbed iodonium salt cations, leading immediate grafting created edges basal planes. We used bis-CF3-substituted salts, subsequent analysis Ti3C2Tx composition indicated decreases in total oxygen concentration oxidized titanium with simultaneous increase fluorine concentration, related –C6H3(CF3)2 moiety attachment. ability substitute hydrophilic oxygen-containing hydrophobic oleophilic –CF3 containing functional allows us create stable suspension nonpolar organic solvents prepare superhydrophobic, water-repellent oxidation-stable conductive coating.

Numerical simulation of surface-plasmon-assisted nanolithography.

In this paper, based on numerical study using Finite Difference Time Domain method, we discuss two possible illumination schemes utilizing surface plasmon effects to achieve high density sub-100 nm scale photolithography by using ultraviolet light from a mercury lamp. In the illumination schemes discussed in this paper, a thin film layer, named as shield layer, is placed in between a photoresis...

Local-field enhancement and plasmon tuning in bimetallic nanoplanets.

A full-interaction electromagnetic approach is applied to interpret the local- and far-field properties of AuAg alloy nanoplanets (i.e. a central cluster surrounded by small "satellite" clusters very close to its surface) fabricated in silica by ion implantation and ion irradiation techniques. Optical extinction spectroscopy reveals a large plasmon redshift which is dependent on the irradiation...

Experimental study of transmission enhancement of evanescent waves through silver films assisted by surface plasmon excitation

In this paper, we investigated an essential precursor of superlensing: enhancing the transmission of evanescent waves assisted by excitation of surface plasmon. Using natural roughness as a well characterized grating, the transmission of evanescent waves is studied through silver thin films of increasing thickness. Measurements and calculations are performed in the wavelength range of 514.5 nm ...
